Originally titled ้ญ็ใใใฎๆใฎใใฎใจใชใใๅ่ ใใๅ่ ใๆญใ๏ผใ(Demon Lord: "Hero, Become Mine!" Hero: "I Shall Not!") and referred to as ใพใใใ (Maoyuu) or ้ญ็ๅ่ (Maou yuusha or Demon Lord/Hero). The novel series is titled ใพใใใ้ญ็ๅ่ .
Five simultaneous manga adaptations currently exist, and an anime adaptation aired in Japan in January-March of 2013. The manga adaptation, Maoyuu Maou Yuusha - "Kono Watashi no Mono to Nare, Yuusha yo" "Kotowaru!" (ใพใใใ้ญ็ๅ่ ใใใฎๆใฎใใฎใจใชใใๅ่ ใใใๆญใ!ใ), by the artist Ishida Akira, was selected to be the "official" manga adaptation of the light novels.
