The historical Libeccio was assigned in 1941 to escort a convoy bound for Libya when the convoy was attacked. She escaped damage and attempted to pick up survivors of the destroyed convoy but was torpedoed on her stern by a Royal Navy submarine, later sinking under tow. This explains her moderate damage voice lines and repair lines where she doesn't like being hit in the same area.
