A form of entertainment done by amateur singers who sing along to pre-recorded instrumental versions of popular songs with the lyrics displayed on a video screen and timed by moving animation. Maracas and Tambourines are often used.
Etymology: Japanese clipped compound word meaning "empty orchestra".
