Secondary protagonist of Kamen Rider Gavv. Hanto is a freelance writer who searches for the monster who kidnapped his mother, later revealed to be a Granute working for the Stomach family. After his mentor and father figure is all but name killed by a Granute, he goes to Suga Kenzo, a human researching Granutes. Suga surgically implants Granute organs into Hanto, allowing the latter to use Gochizos and transform into Kamen Rider Valen.
