One of the original members of the X-Men. She possesses both telepathic and telekinetic powers, focused more on the latter. She is the wife of Cyclops and the mother of Cable and Rachel Summers.

In the early days of the franchise, she was known as Marvel Girl, and she is also known as the primary host of the Phoenix.
