Izumo Ryoko is a character from the World Heroes fighting game series.
Ryoko is a Japanese judo practitioner and sports superstar who fills the hearts of the people in her hometown with pride. Because of this she was recruited by Dr. Brown for the tournament.
Ryoko was born in Japan in May 12, 1976.
The character's hairstyle and design were inspired by real-life judoka, 2 times Olympic gold medal winner and 7 times world champion, Tani Ryoko. The main details from her background are also modeled after the title character of the anime series Yawara!.
