Hornet's design differs markedly from her sisters on account of the fact that she was the first carrier built post-treaty. Instead of the white hair and silver/blue eyes of her sisters, Hornet has longblonde hair tied into a pair of twintails and green eyes. She is also more dressed down than her sisters. Her attire consists of a blackbikini top, a pair of short shorts, and black thighhighs. She sports a pair of black fingerlesselbow gloves that stop right before the knuckle and have a yellow stripe along their length, as well as a dashing cowboy hat, with a yellow belt and underside. She has a long black coat similar to Enterprise, marked with the number 8 as well as her ship name.
Her rigging is composed of her flight deck, missing the yellow markings of her sisters as well as the island superstructure combined with the flight deck. On the deck itself are 2 B-25 Mitchells, a reference to the Doolittle Raid.
