The Holy Grail, also known as the Grail of Life, the White Grail or simply the Grail, is the enchanted chalice kept by the Lady of the Lake, the chief deity of Bretonnia, that is not like any other religious relic or magical item. It cannot be taken from her or kept by any mortal person and serves as the most revered symbol of her sacred blessings over the land. Any mortal Questing Knight who drinks from the Grail's magical waters will thereafter be transformed into one of the Lady's Grail Knights, the living saints of Bretonnia.
