A British King George V-class battleship, laid down in 1937, launched in 1940, commissioned into service in 1942, put in reserve status in 1951 and sold for scrapping in 1957. Took part in Operation Husky (Allied Invasion of Sicily), Operation Avalanche (part of Allied invasion of Italy), helped to escort surrendered Italian battleships Italia and Vittorio Veneto to Alexandria before undergoing a refit and being sent to east where she was involved in fight against Japanese first as part of the British Eastern Fleet and then as a member of the British Pacific Fleet.
