Final boss of Monster Hunter 4 G, the expanded version of Monster Hunter 4. It is a giant dragon covered in petroleum and tar, with a Dragonator (a polearm-like siege weapon) stuck to its back. In-universe information is hard to attain due to the destruction it creates in human settlements whilst seeking out gunpowder, its food source.
It reappears in a free update for Monster Hunter Wilds, now with a beam cannon known as the Convergent Elderbreaker on its back, in place of the Dragonator. Here, it has the highest health of any monster in the mainline Monster Hunter series, and is also the first Elder Dragon to appear in Wilds.
