    襖 ふすま

    A flat paper sliding door or panel seen in traditional Japanese architecture.

    Unlike shouji, they are fully opaque and do not have a visible wooden lattice. They usually have a circular handle, and can be either plain or decorated with traditional Japanese imagery and patterns.
