The deuteragonist from Sousou no Frieren. Fern was an orphan adopted and raised by Heiter, and is the young mage apprentice of Frieren, accompanying her as a member of her party. She has a habit of pouting when she is angry.

Fern is a young human teen/adult with purple eyes and long waist-length purple hair, styled with a straight cut and blunt bangs. She usually wears her hair down with two additional chest-length strands framing her face. After her sixteenth birthday, Fern began styling her hair partially tied back with a butterfly hair ornament gifted by Frieren.

During her travels with Frieren, she is most commonly seen wearing a long, buttoned white dress with a Victorian-style top, including a frilled collar and long sleeves, along with black boots. When outdoors, she also dons a long hooded coat black coat with a white inside layer. For her eighteenth birthday, Stark gave her an ornate mirrored lotus bracelet as a present, which she frequently wears on her left wrist.

After the events at Graf Granat's Domain, Graf Granat gave Fern a black, long-sleeved dress that she wears with a thick, white winter coat and purple braided scarf in colder settings.
