A storyline in the Marvel comic book The Uncanny X-Men, taking place in issues #141–142 and originally published in 1981. It deals with a dystopian future in which mutants are incarcerated in internment camps. An adult Kate Pryde transfers her mind into her younger self, the present-day Kitty Pryde, who brings the X-Men together to prevent a fatal moment in history that will trigger anti-mutant hysteria. It was the basis for the 2014 film X-Men: Days of Future Past.
The cover of issue #141, featuring art by John Byrne and Terry Austin, showcases an aged Wolverine and Kate Pryde with a spotlight on them. Behind them is a wall with a large wanted poster of the X-Men, with their faces marked to show that they have either been captured or killed.
