Like the domestic dog, domestic cats (Felis catus) are one of the most widely known species. Descended from the African Wildcat, they share several traits with their felid ancestors, such as flexibility and teeth structure adapted to capturing small prey. There are over 70 known breeds of cats registered.
While Cat (the Friend) isn't based on any particular breed, she is based on some sort of Tabby cat.
