Babylon 5 is an American space opera television series created by writer and producer J. Michael Straczynski that aired on Warner Bros. Television from 1993 to 1997.
Set in the year 2257, the series takes place on the space station Babylon 5, which was created as a neutral zone for humans and other space-faring alien races to meet, discuss or resolve conflicts between them due to a war ten years ago when the human Earth Alliance was almost exterminated by the Minbari due to a miscommunication when the alliance accidentally killed the leader of the Minbari.
As the Babylon crew deal with running the station along with it's many alien diplomats that live there, outside forces by ancient forces and increase tensions between the races threatens the Babylon and it's mission.
