Illustrator for Kadokawa Games. Mainly draws the boss and submarine abyssal ship enemy characters in Kantai Collection. They do some normal ship girls, though with a lazy streak (like Mizuho's seasonal CGs being the object being held by her changing). Nothing else seems to be known about him/her (or if Akira is more than one person, as there seems to be heavy shifts in style between art).

The credits for KanColle Kai lists his/her real name as Oikawa Mayu.
