The main protagonist of the Metroid series. A Bounty Hunter that has averted countless crises that have threatened the galaxy, such as those involving the Metroids, Phazon and the X Parasites.
Adopted by the Chozo after being orphaned by a Space Pirate raid, she was infused with their alien DNA and raised as a warrior. She later served under Commanding Officer Adam Malkovich within the Galactic Federation Army, but after a traumatic incident she left to become an independent Bounty Hunter.
She is armed with a Chozo cybernetic exoskeleton equipped with an Arm Cannon and a visor known as the Power Suit that protects her and greatly enhances her abilities. This suit also has the means to assimilate other technology within itself to upgrade it's capabilities and gain greater power. She wears the Zero Suit, a skin tightblue bodysuit, under her power suit in case of a malfunction which offers far less protection and only has her armed with the Paralyzer. She wears more casual clothing in various endings, her most popularized being a crop top and short shorts in either orange or blue. A special ending to the first Metroid will show her in a bikini.
According to the Metroid II manual and concept art for Super Metroid within her power suit she is 6'3" (1.90 m) [1][2].
