    邪念 ダークアージ the_dark_urge

One of the eight Origin characters in Baldur's Gate 3, exclusive to the player. Though the Dark Urge's race, gender, and appearance is entirely up to the player, their default appearance is a male white dragonborn sorcerer. Unlike the custom Origin, playing as Dark Urge provides a predefined story and background, greatly affecting the narrative. Dark Urge's past is shrouded in mystery, save for a never-ending Urge to kill, maim, and murder. It is the player's choice on if they resist or indulge this Urge.

In reality, the Dark Urge is a Bhaalspawn, one who has been "gifted" with the blood of Bhaal, god of murder. The Urge is a result of this blood. Before the events of the game, the Dark Urge was the leader of the Cult of Bhaal and a serial murderer. They were previously in leagues with the game's three major antagonists, Ketheric Thorm, Enver Gortash, Orin the Red, Orin being their subordinate, and the other two being collaborators. However, the three betrayed the Dark Urge, leading to a chain of events that would rob them of their memories and eventually to where the game's story begins.
