A part of an organism that usually includes the ears, brain, forehead, cheeks, chin, eyes, nose, and mouth, each of which helps with various sensory functions such as sight, hearing, smell, and taste, respectively. Some very simple animals may not have heads, but many bilaterally symmetrical forms do, regardless of size.
Use this tag as the upmost extreme of cropped anatomy (beyond cropped shoulders) in which only a character's head is drawn, or when a character's head is the primary focus of the image, excluding their face.
Don't use it just because the image contains a severed head, instead use disembodied head or severed head where they apply, unless the image is mainly focused on the head itself.
