    天城(アズールレーン) 天城 鳐

The personification of the battlecruiser Amagi in Azur Lane, introduced as part of the Crimson Echoes event. Character design by Liduke, voiced by Sawashiro Miyuki.

She is a kyuubi fox girl like her younger sister Akagi, with long brown hair and purple eyes with red pupils. Her outfit consists of a red haori over a crane print dark purple kimono with bodystocking underneath, and an oil-paper umbrella in her hand in addition to her rigging.

A natural strategist, Amagi is much more level-headed than Akagi, always behaving in a professional manner and being respectful towards the Commander. However, she suffers from coughing fits, a reference to how her keel snapped during her conversion to a carrier in an earthquake, and is highly conscious of her own frail health, which is manifested in the story as a Wisdom Cube with a crack on it.

The historical Amagi was supposed to be the first in a four-ship class of battlecruisers, developed as part of the Imperial Japanese Navy's Eight-Eight Fleet Program. However, construction was halted as a result of the Washington Naval Treaty, before she and Akagi underwent conversion into aircraft carriers. Amagi's conversion, however, was cut short when her keel snapped during the Great Kanto Earthquake, forcing her to be scrapped like her other two sister ships two years later.

Amagi (CV), an ultra-rare reimagining of her, was introduced in the 7th anniversary Ode of Everblooming Crimson event in September 2024. In the event story, Amagi completed her fateful conversion to an Amagi-class aircraft carrier, restoring her to full health in the process.
