Miles "Tails" Prower is Sonic the Hedgehog's orange fox sidekick and long time friend. His name is a pun on "miles per hour", but he prefers to go by his nickname "Tails".
He has two tails that he uses for flying like a helicopter, and is just as smart as Dr. Eggman when it comes to robotics. He's able to build and fly his own planes like the Tornado.
His voice actors in Japanese are Hayashi Kazuki (1998-1999), Murata Atsuki (2000-2001), and Hirohashi Ryou (since 2003). In English they are Connor Bringas, Corey Bringas, Amy Palent, Kate Higgins, and Colleen Villard. Among the cast of Sonic characters, Tails has received the most voice changes.
