A slingshot swimsuit, also known as a sling bikini or mankini for males, is a V-shaped swimsuit that stretches from the crotch, separates to cover the nipples, up over the shoulders and around the neck. It's much like a thong that stretches to go over the shoulders, providing minimal coverage to the wearer.
Slingshot swimsuits can have a V-shaped top, or have an X-shaped criss-cross halter top that crosses beneath the neck, similar to a pretzel bikini.
