Fictional species of monsters from RWBY, a Rooster Teeth series. They are described as "creatures of destruction" which lack souls. Hostile to humanity and drawn towards sources of negative emotions (fear, sorrow, etc.).

Grimm are commonly black, with white armored patches, red markings, and glowing red eyes.

• Beowolf - resembling large wolves or werewolves
• Beringel - bulky gorilla
• Boarbatusk - large boar
• Creep - resembles theropod dinosaurs but lacks forelimbs
• Death Stalker - giant scorpion
• Geist - ghost-like creature with one eye on an otherwise blank face(plate), two arms, and waist trails instead of legs; can possess inanimate objects, exposing only its faceplate
• Armor Gigas - A western-style suit of full plate armor with greatsword, stated in manga to be animated by a possession-type Grimm
• Petra Gigas - A golem-like collection of boulders possessed by a Geist.
• Goliath - elephant
• Griffon - griffin
• Grimm Dragon - giant wyvern
• The Hound - Intelligent Grimm, capable of shapeshifting and speech, with a debatably-alive Faunus as a "core"
• King Taijitu - giant double-headed snake (one head on each end, no tail)
• Leviathan - Gargantuan kaiju-like mosnter resembling and fighting like Godzilla
• Manticore - Fireball-breathing winged lion
• Monstra - Colossal flying whale used by Salem as "living" transport and mothership
• Nevermore - raven, appears in both normal-crow-sized and giant-sized varieties
• Nuckelavee - Nightmare horse with legless humanoid "rider" fused onto center of horseback; "rider" can stretch arms to attack
• Orochi (name?) - Appears in manga; fuses 4 King Taijitu into one eight-headed monster (Blake references Yamata-no-Orochi when talking about it)
• Sabyr - Resembles a smilodon or sabertooth cat
• Sea Feilong - Japanese dragon, can swim or extend fins into wings to fly, breathes electric energy beam
• Sphinx - Larger Manticore Grimm whose tail is a snake head/body
• Ursa - large bear (plural Ursai, larger ones may be called Ursa Major)
