    丹陽 丹陽(艦これ) 丹陽(艦隊これくしょん)

Kantai Collection's Yukikaze kai form, after being transferred to the Republic of China (Taiwan).

She wears a red sailor shirt with a grey sailor collar and brown neckerchief over a white stylized china dress. She wears more modernized communications headgear and dual-anchor hairclips (which are miniature versions of the ROC Navy emblem) and sports rigging which includes Type 89 12.7 cm/40 dual mounted guns as well as new Taiwanese weapons due to the ROC Navy having no access to the original Japanese armaments. Her rudder boots sport the number 12, in reference to her new hull number DD-12. Noticeable immediately is that Tan Yang dresses more conservatively with a slightly longer dress compared to either Yukikaze in base form or in her official second remodel.

Her name can also be romanized as "Danyang" in Hanyu Pinyin instead of Wade-Giles. The game officially uses the Hanyu Pinyin romanization, but the Wade-Giles one is used here for historical reasons as well as the tendency for Taiwanese to shun the mainland-formulated Pinyin.

Even before she was added to the game, some fan artists had already created their own versions of Tan Yang, either through original remodels, mere associations with Taiwan, or juxtapositions with anything vaguely Chinese in general, AceA4 being one prominent example.
