She is never directly named in the core games. Selene is the most commonly used name used for this character, including in promotional materials for Sun and Moon and in Pokemon Masters EX. Promotional materials also refer to her as Moon, and promotional materials for Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon refer to her as Ailey (Japanese: Koumi).
