A young associate of Ishii O-Ren, she is a severely disturbed 17-year-old schoolgirl who delights in killing for fun. She is one of O-Ren's top assassins and is her personal bodyguard.
She wields a unique weapon, which is a heavy ball on a chain concealing spikes (a Ball and chain). Her attire is a school uniform, consisting of a suit coat and plaid skirt.
Gogo's role is a direct reference to Kuriyama's character from the Japanese movie Battle Royale, featuring Kuriyama as Chigusa Takako.
