Sigurd (romanized as Siglud in the Japanese version) is the main Lord character of Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, the inheritor of the duchy of Chalphy and a full-blooded descendant of Crusader Baldr. Deirdre is his wife, and together, they have a son named Seliph.
As a full-blooded descendant of Crusader Baldr, Sigurd wields the Holy Sword Tyrfing, which is later passed down to his son Seliph.
Sigurd is ultimately killed by Arvis at the end of the first generation, and his son Seliph succeeds him for the second generation. This makes Sigurd the first and only Lord to die during the events of his own game.
