A very politely phrased gag post from around 2003, posted to 2ch or a similar board, announcing that Christmas was canceled and apologizing to any who were inconvenienced. Exact dates and details are uncertain, but word has it that it was part of an image depicting Santa having been shot to death. Apparently, jokes about Santa's arrest canceling Christmas were old hat, so this went for a bit more impact. It's now a seasonal gag on the net.
