Byakuren vs Miko and it seems that the youkai christ has the upper hand will Miko allow to be defeated by another buddist again??(Personally go Miko!!!)
I like how people interpret that Byakuren > Miko, while theoretically it's other way around.
Status: Miko is a prince who fought a war and won, she has her own wikipage. Byakuren is a sister of a monk who almost nobody cares about.
Power+religion: Miko was all Shintoism, Taoism and Buddhism (although historically speaking, the Taoism the real Miko followed was 儒教, not 道教), Shintoism may grant him power of nature, Buddhism may grant him power of anti-youkai, taoism may grant him immortality (which we know that failed). Byakuren devoted to Buddhism but get to Black Magic that used youkai to enhance her power. In this case, Byakuren's power is certain to be "dark" or "evil", very youkai-ish, and Miko's Buddhism/Taoism is her arch-nemesis.
Actually, if that is the case, Byakuren has absolutely no chance against Miko, not even in her dream.
But well, as a member of "Namusan until morning Club", I don't particularly mind.
The problem lies in Char design, Miko's character design looks moe, cute and childish. Byakuren's looks more mature and has more sexy re-interpretation. Not to mention Byakuren looks physically fitter. Also, Byakuren has long hair.

That's due to the fact that Byakuren specializes in Physical enchancing magic, she did have a fear of growing old and dying. as for Miko's Shintoism, it should be noted the reason she did all of this in the first place was because she was tired of the Shinto gods warring with each other and dragging humans in.

I dunno. Hermits are said to have bodies of steel or something, right? Maybe if that applies to Miko who's a shikaisen(?) than she could match up with Byakuren's physical enhancement magic.
I also like the fact that Byakuren and Miko are so similar yet different. One of them could even say the "We're the same you and I" line.

Miko is probably the easiest stage 6 boss aswell. And i would say none of her spell cards looks particulary impressive either.
I dunno, I personally think that in a real fight Byakuren would have the upper hand. For one, Miko seems psychologically unable to understand the very idea of being wrong (look at her dialogues with Youmu), and that's a bad thing to bring into a fight with someone like Byakuren, who almost certainly, being a Buddhist saint, has beaten at least a couple of the ten desires that give Miko her ability to read into people. There's a pretty good chance Miko would get pounded into mulch before she even realized that her perfect fight-planning was not, in fact, going as it "should".
But yeah, Miko and Byakuren are pretty similar, and in fact kind of an "opposites" deal. Both trying for immortality, both *terribly* unorthodox at their chosen religions (and probably choosing the exact wrong crowd to proselitize to), both saints nonetheless... main difference is that Byakuren apparently redeemed in the end while Miko was, well, a model feudal politician, really.
Miko's true religion is Taoism, which is an orthodox religion, and her chosen path to immortally is an orthodox one is well. Remember, she is not a Buddhist in the 1st place.
Byakuren's religion is Buddhism, but she uses black magic to gain immorality, so she's orthodox alright.
Miko is a Saint to Mankind while Byakuren is a Saint to Youkai, which makes her a traitor and sinner of Mankind. This is why they are at odds, Miko's beef with Buddhism is just an civil, internal rival between two religion of Mankind, she is ultimately indisputable, a champion and guardian of Mankind. While Byakuren is a former human who has become a champion and guardian of youkai.
Well... Miko *is* easier than Byakuren. Way easier. At this point I'm just too lazy to do her. Last time her last spell killed me with 3 bombs still in stock. Instant ragequit.

Saints didn't start any war, their followers did. And you know what I'm talking about. In this case, youkai from Byakuren and human from Miko. And Kanako who's watching from her oh-so-nice-and-peaceful shrine will ensure the war to happen.
IMO its clear who would win: Byakuren has bigger boobs, can summon unlimited blades works (see her double spoiler cards) and can use shinki's strongest spell card. Miko has a sexy hair, headphones and a stick
You forgot that she can listen to 10 different discussions at once and... Which is totaly useless in Gensokyo but might be invaluable if being flamed on online messageboards.
