7-11 Sunset Service Stop
“サービスエリア (7-Eleven)”
Hey y’all! It’s done! Today I’m super excited to share with you my version of 7-11 illustration. Many of you may have seen or heard about the famous Family Mart with Mount Fuji in the background and the chaos it has caused for the locals due to the influx of tourists. BUT did you know there’s a similar view just 600 meters away featuring a 7-Eleven konbini? For those interested: 📍the 7-ELEVEN Kawaguchiko Station East Store
If you’ve rented a car in Japan before, you might appreciate the rest/service stops scattered across the country. After a long drive, finding one is essential before continuing your road trip. I chose a sunset color palette to evoke that “rest vibe,” as these stops often occur during those beautiful twilight moments. I can’t explain how wonderful it feels to relax and unwind, sip hot coffee and grab a light bite to eat—especially in the winter! ❄️☕️🍱
I decided to keep the background and sky minimalistic so the focus remains on the konbini. I incorporated subtle shades of reddish, purple, and dark blue to create a moody atmosphere. Perhaps I should add a car to the scene too? Oh well, maybe next time!
Time to rework/redraw the Lawson illustration to complete the konbini set! I hope that sounds exciting and captures your anticipation! Anyways, I’m excited to share the outcome with y’all. If you appreciate my pixel art, please also hit the SHARE & FOLLOW button! I would be eternally grateful. 🫡
UPDATE: 60K likes and over 500k view on Instagram. I am massively grateful for this exposure.
