Taken to the logical conclusion, only human can pander around the mysticism of half-animal (thirenthrope) people because they aren't one. Given thirens (like their animal counterpart) has hightened senses compared to normal humans they might as well can sense supernatural beings, so makes perfect sense that a human befriended multiple thirens each with their special senses to detect mysterious beings.
Komano = dog = better nose Alice = rabbit = better ears Lucia = goat = better human recognition sense (yes, goats can distinguish between real human and projection of human images, like in TV) Yidhari = octopus = better eyes (and tactile sense).
