真夏の昼。 エアコンも扇風機もない我が家はサウナに様相を変えていた。 暑さにウンザリとしていた時、外から声が聞こえる。 「おーい、「」！遊ぼうよー！」 こんなクソ暑い時も子供は元気なのだ。 そんな訳でチルノと大ちゃんがうちにご来訪なさった。 「暇！遊んでよ。」 とのたまうチルノ。 「突然お邪魔して、ごめんなさい「」さん。あの、ご迷惑でしたか・・・？」 申し訳なさそうな大ちゃん。チルノとは大違いだ。 暑いから動く気がしないとチルノに告げた。 「えー。せっかく来たのに！遊んでよ」 とチルノは非難する。 こんな暑い時に遊び回るバカはお前ぐらいだぞ。 「そんなに暑いの？」 チルノは不思議そうな顔をする。ああ、暑いよ。 僕がそう答えると、思案をめぐらせた様な表情した後、チルノは口を開いた。 「あたいを抱いてみたら冷たくなるかもよ？」 口から白い息を吹き出して言うチルノ。 あっそうか、お前氷の妖精だもんな。 「だ、抱く！？」 いや、大ちゃん。そっちの意味じゃなくてさ。 確かに、チルノを抱きしめてみれば涼む事が出来るかもしれない。 「「」、どーんと来なよ」 とチルノは胸を張る。 ここは一つ試してみるかとチルノを抱きしめてみた。 すると、心地よい冷気で生き返るかの様に気持ちよかった。 いままでずっとうだるような室内に居て、僕の体は熱が篭っていて。 それが全て吹き飛んで体が軽くなったかの様で、圧倒的な快感だった。 「あはは・・・く、くすぐったいって「」。」 チルノが軽く僕を押しのけた。 気がつくとあまりの気持ちよさにチルノの胸に顔を強く押し付けて抱きしめていた。 いかん、こんな姿誰かに見られたら、変な誤解をされる。 そう振り向くと 顔を真っ赤にしてこっちを見ている大ちゃんが居た。 誤解だ。 「大ちゃんもこっち来なよ」 とチルノが大ちゃんを手招きする。 「大ちゃん、顔真っ赤じゃん。暑いんでしょ？大ちゃんも」 と僕の肩腿に座り、もう片方の腿を軽く叩く。そういう事じゃないと思うのだが。 「え・・・？でも。」 とチラっと僕を見る大ちゃん 僕もチルノ同様手招きした。 「・・・それじゃあ失礼します、「」さん」 と大ちゃんは僕の腿に座った。 とりあえずは変に思われてないらしい。良かった。 そんな風に2人の椅子になって快適な夏の昼下がりを過ごしたわっふるわっふる。

Question: Does Danbooru formatting dislike lines that end in a quotation mark? I nearly had to leave off the closing mark from one of Daiyousei's lines, because ending the line in a quotation mark caused everything except that line to vanish from the post preview. (I tested the whole line, bit by bit, and I narrowed the problem down to that.) Adding a space after the quotation mark fixed things, but why would it be a problem in the first place?

A midsummer afternoon. Without A/C or electric fans, my house was like a sauna. Just when I couldn't take the heat any more, I heard a voice from outside. "Heyyy, _____! Let's playyy!" Even in this damn heat, kids have the energy to play. So that's why Cirno and Dai-chan came to see me. "I'm bored! Play with us!" Cirno said.

"Sorry to show up so suddenly, Mr. ______! Um, did we bother you?" said an apologetic Dai-chan. So different from Cirno.

I informed Cirno it was so hot that I didn't feel like moving. "Whaat? After we came all the way here?! C'mon, play!" Cirno reproached me.

"You're the only one stupid enough to play around in this heat."

"Is it that hot?" Cirno made a puzzled face.

"Yeah, it's hot," I responded.

Cirno appeared to ponder this, and then spoke: "Maybe you'd get colder if you tried holding me?" Her breath came out of her mouth in white vapor as she spoke.

"Oh, yeah, you're an ice fairy."

"H-hold you!?"

"No, Dai-chan, not in that sense." True enough, if I tried hugging Cirno, I might be able to cool down.

"Okay, _____, come and get me," Cirno said, throwing out her chest. Figuring I'd give it a shot, I tried hugging her. It felt wonderful, like I was being brought back to life by a pleasant chill. Up 'til then, I'd been in the boiling indoors, and my body had been heavy with heat. Now there was an overwhelmingly pleasant feeling, as if that heat was all blowing away and my body had become lighter.

"Ah ha ha...th-that tickles, _____!" Cirno lightly pushed me aside. I realized that it had felt so nice that I'd been pressing my face firmly into Cirno's chest as I held her.

"Uh-oh, someone could seriously take this wrong if they saw us like this." I turned around to see Dai-chan looking at us, her face flushed bright red. She was taking it wrong.

"Come over here too, Dai-chan," Cirno beckoned her. "Wow, your face is all red. Are you feeling hot too?" Cirno sat on one my legs and lightly patted the other.

"I don't think that's it..."

"Huh...? But..." As Dai-chan glanced at me, I beckoned her over like Cirno had. ".... Okay, then excuse me, Mr. ______," and she sat down on my leg. For the moment, she didn't seem to think strangely of me, thank goodness.

And thus did I spend a pleasant early afternoon in summer as a chair for the two of them. Waffle-waffle.

It's apparently a 2ch thing. When you're a bit worried about whether to continue a post (usually an erotic one), you interrupt it with 「省略されました。全てを読むにはわっふるわっふると書き込んでください」(The rest is omitted. To read the whole thing, please post "Waffle waffle".) This has also led to people posting "Waffle waffle" even without that request, as a way of saying "Hurry up and post more" (or just "Moar plz," I guess).

The exact derivation isn't absolutely confirmed, but one story I see put forth a few times in search results is that some guy posting images demanded that everyone who wanted to see more had to declare what idiots they were. He wanted them to write "We are fool" in English, but lacking English skill himself, instead told them to write "Our fool." 2ch'ers turned this into わっふる ("waffuru")—which of course looks like "waffle" spelled out in katakana.

The behavior you encountered is an unintended consequence of how one embeds links in comments. To cause some text to point to a webpage, you enclose that text in quotation marks and then put a colon followed by the desired webpage after that quotation mark (example - the correct formatting will show up if you quote this comment).

I've encountered the embedded link formatting (and I'm still getting used to it), but I wouldn't expect it to be activated if one didn't specifically have a colon following the quotation marks.

This may be an urban legend or something. Note that the source of this story is a 2ch member. What is clear is only the first post in which this meme was used.
