How would they know that Marisa and Co. would still be there? I thought by now Marisa would have taken this loss in stride... like all the other times in something she was actually good in, danmaku.

Well in canon Marisa is a bit of a sore loser(Immaterial and Missing Power) and she hates to come in second, though dislikes those who clearly hate to come in second(IN) and Reimu acting like nothing happened is not helping with her mood.

If I know Touhou, Marisa will stop being so petulant if Reimu gives her some tea.

Beat someone up, give her tea, and you'll have a friend for life (again). That's how Gensokyo rolls.

No wonder there's been so many bad feelings in this tournament. The tea levels are dangerously low.

I just realized something. Reimu cannot and will not be able to win this fight. As much as people go on and on about her 'plot armor' fueling her wins, I think in the end it will also fuel her defeat, because it is also a big part of her 'plot' to remain dirt poor.
