Since this is an RAF story, I'm changing all the ranks to their RAF equivalents. 曹長 is roughly equivalent to the modern USAF SMSgt, and the closest thing in the RAF would appear to be a Flight Sergeant, which matches her arm patch (three downard-pointing chevrons over a crown). Similarly, the RAF Major-equivalent is Squadron Leader (which is actually what the profile in post #913112 uses as well).
