Then again, even if you ARE under-leveled, all you have to do is time things right so that you go into trance as soon as the battle begins. I've got to say though, Black waltz No. 1 was the hardest out of the three.

Wow... I just re-bought FFIX for my PSP and was playing it not 10 minutes ago when I fought this guy. What a coincidence.

well, all things considered, if you want to steal EVERYTHING from these guys (worth it for the mythril dagger replacing the extra mage masher to make an ogre sword), this fight can be a BITCH, especially on level one challenge. had to give up my first trance b4 killing off the waltz and refused to fight the summon til i got my next trance. otherwise tsunami will MURDER you.

Same here! Even though I just got it. Its why I uploaded this picture.

Its a bitch stealing the mythil dagger for the Sealion. Overall the fight isnt all that hard, just trying to steal a weapon from the Sealion will take some time.

It was the first RPG boss to kick my ass! FFIX was my 1st RPG...

I think Zealion should've taken some time to appear, like two turns maybe? I feel it was too overwhelming. Still a great fight, though.
