For Ninja Theory's sake I hope this game is really good.I'm completely indifferent to this redesign, but this seems to be really upsetting a lot of people. Although this picture is a bit pretentious.
Good news at least, from what I've seen in the latest trailers, this design is a bit outdated. Seems they've made him a bit more Dante-like... Still not as good as the real thing...

God damn it, Dante is a damn punk, all people who play and love the game KNOW that. He is awesome, etc. But he is a total punk in his attitude and this is why he is so badass.
So this newlook is really good, it will explain his white hair, how he leave in the past, when he was young, how he become the punk and awesome guy in DMC.

The developers of this new game has a so-so track record with their past games (i.e. not DMC quality), has an arrogant producer, and backed by the asshole nest that is modern Capcom.

You haven't been following the DmC have you? Its not just the design itself, the entire game will change gameplay and story. The game will not run as smooth as previous DMC game that ran 60fp while this DmC will run only 30fp thats slower if you compare with a game like God of War that runs only 45fp. With all the backlash, Ninja Theory just spat at the fans and with horrible PR they are doing bad than good, yet Crapcom haven't done any crowd control til near completion of DmC in their words "DmC is an alternate universe" that's their only attempt to calm the fanbase down. I believe this DmC is an attempt to sell towards the causal crowd, making the controls for new and causal players much easier. Basically the game itself is a downgrade. Please, don't bring up the "hair argument" that point isn't even invaild.
