Looks like Gensokyo had found itself a new electrical generator aside from Iku, and Iku found herself a new partner... it's like lightning will come before the thunder...

ZUN's reply to a question as to whether Mima will be appearing in the new Touhou game was "You're joking, right?" and "Yuuka fans there gave up already, so just give it up." We can only count on his whims now, since he really seems to have no intention of reintroducing Mima.

I hope the die-hard Mima fans can take the reality that easily... but those fans would be hard to accept the fact that it is hard to revive a long dead character.
But we can accept the fact that Mima was always been badass during her time and she can still shine on the hearts of her fans...
Well I'm no Mima fan, but I really like her design and how most fanart show her as a badass. I also think it would be really awesome if ZUN actually brought back a character that hasn't been shown for more than 10 years real-time

I used to believe the nature of her power was like that as well til I've played it. In-game, she has yellow danmaku and zigzag-moving arrows that resemble lightning/electricity.

Sorry, I'm not much of a science person, I just have some difficulties differentiating a thunder from a thunderbolt. And its been a very long time since I played pokemon...
Anyway, maybe we can see some IkuSoga relationship since, thunder and lightning as said, is related to each other.

The problem here would be, does the Chinese (who invented the Chinese ideograms) made any difference between them ? The profile doesn’t say “thunder” in English.
It's thunderbolt. Well, creating thunderblots would create a thunderclap too.
Interesting piece of information regarding Tojiko. The Fujiwara clan, which destroys the Souga clan, suffered a death of a man who was struck by a thunderbolt, which the Fujiwara clan considered to be caused by a curse in retaliation from the Souga clan. But we know someone from that clan, don't we? That dead man had a son named Fujiwara no Fuhito, who is usually considered as Mokou's father. In short, Mokou is the descendant of people who destroyed Tojiko's family, and Tojiko is related to the people who murdered Mokou's family. I'm really interested in how the doujin fandom might use this.

Oh, now that is VERY interesting. Arch enemies starting a vendetta? Reimu won't like that at all.
Can I ask. If the Soga and Fujiwara are enemies, and the Fujiwara are allies with the Mononobe, but Futo is allies with Tojiko, so should Futo be considered an ally or enemy of Mokou? Just a thought.

The Mononobe were in the anti-Buddhist faction while Futo was secretly allied with Miko and her cause to spread Buddhism to control the masses. Futo manipulated the Mononobe and the Soga to wage war against each other over Buddihism, ultimately leading to the downfall of her own clan.
So Futo would not be an ally of the Fujiwara considering she worked against her own clan and manipulated the circumstances to their downfall. She sided with Miko and the Soga in the end.
