If it's more convenient there is also the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC. It's held every year during Spring around the time the cherry blossoms normally reach peak bloom. The festival commemorates the around 3k cherry blossom trees the mayor of Tokyo City gifted Washington DC in 1912. Apparently some 12 varieties of cherry blossoms present with Yoshino cherry and Kwanzan cherry making up the bulk at ~70% and ~13% of the trees respectively.
