勝利を願ってくれるのは、ただ1人だけ。
自分だけだと、少女は思い込んでいました。

――ライス、ライス、ライス、ライス……！

けれど全力で走りぬいた少女を迎えたのは、
まるで高い高い青空から舞い落ちるような、
たくさんのたくさんの声援でした。

「あ……あの、ええと」

少女は驚いて、戸惑って……それでも。
小さな、少女には大きな一歩を踏み出して。

「あ……ありがとう、ございます……っ！」

少女への声援は、いつまでもいつまでも
止むことはありませんでした――

(Come on, Rice! You can do it!)

She had thought the only one to cheer her on was herself.

RICE! RICE! RICE! RICE!

But as she dashes past the other racers, like a gift from the heavens, she hears the cheers of many, many people in the stands.

"Oh, I, uh..."

Surprise and confusion overtake her, but finally... she takes one big step forward...

"Th-thank you very much!"

The cheering continues, on and on into eternity.
