Actually... come to think of it, compressing an iron ball down to 1/1000 its original size is wrecking the laws of physics far beyond that of merely converting graphite into diamond. Like, seriously, you "only" need 5 gigapascals of pressure to convert graphite into diamond. Meanwhile pressures at the solar core is like 26.5 MILLION gigapascals, and even then the density of the 'material' there is only a mere FIFTIETH of that electron-degenerate sphere of "iron" you just created.

...which will promptly explode with the force of small nuke the moment you stop compressing said sphere. Or, if it somehow magically holds itself together, will behave like some sort of weird super-dense gas that can flow yet still somehow remain RIGID while super-penetrating any other materials it grazes with the slightest amount of force as though the latter material is made out of butter is rarefied gas found at the upper levels of the atmosphere.
