Nah, both Touhou and Demon´s soul become easier once you remember the traps... somewhat.

Suddenly invading black phantoms cannot be memorized. Especially in later playthroughts when every random mob one-hit-kills you and armor is reduced to nothing but fancy-polygons.

The Cleaver is a weapon for those of high faith if I recall correctly. (Required high amount of the Faith/whatever it is called/ stat, same as that spear.)

Yes, Sanae has the Meat Cleaver, Marisa has the "Large Sword of Searching" and Youmu has "Hiltless" and another sword. (My best guess would be Makoto.)

I love how their gear fits them perfectly:

As mentioned, high Faith is needed to get the most out of the Meat Cleaver and Sanae is wearing the outfit of Executioner Miralda (who is blindly devoted to her own master just as Sanae has almost blind faith in her goddesses).

Youmu, of course, is high DEX with dual katanas.

Lastly, Marisa has the Large Sword of Searching, which boosts item rate discovery. Perfect for a thief like her.
