I wouldn't say the game pitted them up this way, but I don't get how you could say "almost completely unrelated" when there was two whole voiced story quests where the two of them were traveling together with the Rover and Zani even taking jabs at Phoebe about her Order affiliations. that's exactly it, they exchanged a few words, having met twice, TWO, and there was almost no interaction between them, they all essentially accompanied the rover, and between themselves they don't even have a friendly relationship, because apart from 2 missions where they spent a little time near the rover, there was nothing, if you compare them even with the same Jinhsi and Sanhua or Carlotta and Zani, they can generally be called strangers

Such a dry, arid and yet cold heart that lacks imagination and fantasy. Who's to say they didn't exchange words out of your view? You can't fantasize, so you will never understand others fantasies.

Brother, it's not like they casually met at the supermarket while buying groceries, they literally went on a small adventure together with rover. You'd be hard pressed calling anyone stranger after that. Believe it or not there are also people out there shipping characters for gameplay reasons, and as it turns out these two were literally made to work together. Add to all that the fact their personality combination makes for an interesting dynamic, and it's really not that hard to see how this ship gained traction.
