The food Chain consists of Nature, Insects, Birds and Beasts. But when Beast(Rumia) consumed Nature(Cirno), Insects(Wriggle) start to disappear, following with Birds(Mystia) and finally Beasts themselves.
If I had to say it in real words, the artist drew a lesson for us: if Beast(us) destroyed Nature, Insects, Birds, and Beasts (the whole ecosystem and us) will all disappear the same way.
So, by drawing this comic strip, the artist probably wants us to stop destroying nature to prevent the suffering of mankind.
