Time to take a huge stab in the dark and assume Tewi gave 75% her plan because she knew eventually Marisa would start to sacrifice her 2nds (since they are full opponents) to win and thus break the team up.
In Gensokyo tag tournament, Kanako did something similar with a KOed Suika (one of her opponents) as she 'homerun'd' Aya with her. Though an Oni is far more effective a bat than a frail magician.

Remember that Patchy and Alice are using a form of defense similiar to Reimu. In fact, the title of the chapter is "Clash of Similar Power". As blunt instruments go, Patchy and Alice are probably the only things ring side that could hold up against Reimu and her barrier.

Or escalate the fight into so much ridiculous territory that Yukari facepalms hard enough to annul the match.
I'm really glad Marisa hit Reimu back into the ring, I was worried we were about to get a double disqualification again.
Nitori is definitely up to something right now, it's been too long since we've seen her.

She said, "Patchouli, your head!" She was telling her to put her barrier up on her head so she could use her as a bat with minor damage.
And I want to say something about the silver weapons before someone else complains about it.
Keep in mind that silver has been said to be a sort of holy metal in the past due to its purity and has been seen as something that could hurt any kind of "dark, evil" creature, this includes vampires as well as werewolves.
I can't form an opinion on this page. It's just too silly. Therefore, random thoughts instead.
Developments: -Patchy pretty clearly saw this attack coming, so if she needed to be protected from it, then Reimu is still the superior barrier master (or at least Marisa thinks she is). I guess I sort of called it. -Patchy doesn't sound happy. -Silver weapons are confirmed. While the previous vampire weaknesses don't appear to have been very effective, this seems like it could go too far the other way and put us in danger of a forfeit-by-kill. On the other hand, I doubt this will actually matter, as their function appears to be to keep Remi occupied rather than to actually hit her. -Speaking of which, it looks like Remi is actively fighting the Shanghais, rather than being cornered by them (she seems to be holding one of them in her hand, and the announcer's narration fits as well), resolving what was a rather ambiguous fourth panel on the previous page. -Reimu has recovered. -Marisa is making weird noises.
Faces: -Marisa is back to having the deranged grin that had half of us convinced she was possessed by Mima. -Patchy blushes when Marisa picks her up! Aww. Too bad the moment immediately goes awry for her. -Reimu is pissed off. Possibly at the silver weapons, possibly at her technique being ripped off, possibly she's just sick of not getting any screentime. -I didn't pick up on this before, but sometime between when Remi was running around the ring and when the Shanghais caught Marisa, her giant face bruise completely disappeared.
Whining: -Marisa looks too far away to me in panel 1 to have been able to reasonably close the distance before Reimu's attack could connect, but maybe I'm estimating badly. -First two panels made me think Reimu would finally get to do something. No such luck. -Nitori is still missing. Not only that, but I'm pretty sure we should be able to see Alice in panel 4, and maybe Remi too. Is Disappearing Teammate Syndrome contagious?

Doesn't mean she liked being used as a bat though, especially with her blushing in the previous frame.

I'm not too sure just exactly how much damage a silver fork would be doing though.

The best I can figure is that the dolls propelled her somehow but that's stretching it in my opinion.

Then again, the sun oil didn't do too much either, I think it's just that they're pulling a Hannibal (The soldier, not the cannibal) and just going for every little advantage they can get.

Depends on how dei shirou wants to play this. Vampires are weak against silver, but that could mean one of two things. Is it just that silver can affect her while she's impervious to other things, or is she specifically weak to it like Superman is weak to kryptonite?
The sliverware's effectiveness would depend on how purely sliver it was. I woudln't think it'd be truly harmful but it wouldn't be something easily shrugged off.
- if this attack was meant to finish Reimu off, this may also mean that Patchy is unavailable for the remainder of the match as well, even though that attack in particular used both Marisa and Patchouli's powers. In other words, this strip reminds me of this fight --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOkWNpBQyrI . But I really doubt that Marisa used all of her remaining powers yet. (I wonder if the magician team will run out of time, but Marisa still tries to fight, without magic, and is then stopped by her team)
- speaking of lolbarriers, Kirisame Familiar could attempt to slam Reimu against Remilia, now that Reimu has recovered. What made me think about this? Flandre's final attack against Sanae, which also made me think about how could Flandre get weakened enough to be defeatable :p
Flan mainly got softened up by Suwako and I think Sanae used some sort of holy-enhancement herself (where Reimu got that Barrier-burst idea), though Sanae paid rather dearly for it.
