You should read C. Starting in Volume 4 (which is where the anime stops), Japan has switched from the yen to USD. The next arc covers the struggle between USD-based financial districts and EUR-based financial districts. They have a character named Mikoto that sleeps with with a lot of officials to influence the exchange rate. There's a scene of her cybering.
