Got a question for you guys, maybe you can answer it before I set off on a google-hunt for the answer: I've seen several Japanese works/games/etc. that will feature quiz game show gags like this with hosts wearing silly top hats. Is this based on any one particular iconic show or are hats and quizzes just something that go hand in hand in Japan?
