Well I don't think they are getting worse but if they are... you try coming up with with 4koma styled wrestling that resembles Kinnikuman but with Touhou girls, for as long as Dei-Shirou has been doing this.
Besides Marisa and Nitori been pulling off normal grapple moves before the over the top stuff started thats just shweet right there and now we got kappa arms slinging sun oiled covered iron maidens that a vampire happens to be catching easily.
This particular fight might be better if 75% Scarlet was shown doing anything. They've supposedly been counter attacking but it mostly seems to happen off-panel.
So the whole fight has felt like its just been Marisa's team beating on Reimu and Remilia with little resistance.

Since it really seems that Marisa and Co. have to lose (just can't see this working on another team) Zerii is giving them something special to do for the time being.
It would be a tiny bit better if Aya was at least looking the other way when Nitori is pulling stunts like this.
I am sorta curious to see the side commentary from Scarlet 200% and Team Moria. Flan and Suwako in particular would have some interesting input.
Possibilities for how Reimu ended up being restrained by Nitori:
1. Reimu, who dodges the bullets fired by EX bosses, has such a ridiculously slow reaction time that, in the time it takes for her to start moving, Nitori can leave the ring, sneak up on her without her noticing, and grab her.
2. Nitori actually has her active camouflage suit on and we've been seeing fake kappa boobs all along.
3. Nitori can teleport.
4. When we can't see Nitori, the other characters can't see her either.

After that was a Higen Judgment vs a team that no one would take seriously as a team, and they synergized in such a way they utterly violated the basic rules of the comic to come back from an utter one sided win and beat their opponets IN a one sided beatdown that everyone felt was completely contrived. And now this.

You assume that he thinks that fight is the best one or his favorite. You have to keep in mind that the personality of the participants plays into how the match goes. I'll edit this later on what I mean, right now I'm exhausted.

I think they're real, a few girls are curvier than usual, mainly Mokou and Kaguya. (Neither are generally known to be exceptionally curvy in most fanart)

I don't think that logic holds as the fight you mentioned (Heaven Sky vs Tiger Lotus) was very different than the two afterwards as it was very clean, very even, and free of any sort of hostility. Both sides gave their all and had fun.
Though what happened in the HJ vs the immortals, it was more Question mark vs a team of mid-tier rivals. We saw quickly that the Yama was no joke at all and that the immortals were in over their heads. But as things progressed, those two somehow tapped into particularly superhuman strength and endurance that would have steamrolled the hell out of Eirin or Keine in the first match.
This match is getting pretty silly in what's going on, but it's clear that Remilia's catches are taking some toll on her. As far as Marisa's team goes, it stopped being so much a valiant effort and more being utterly desperate.

On the other hand, this isn't even the entirety of their strategy so far. We're still at the "pummel the other side into submission" phase, we'll still have to see how Red 75% will turn this match around. And they will, seeing that Reimu is barely affected by the initial onslaught, all things considered.
Basically, you have to think about what the goal is of the author in order to understand what they think is their best work. Even if a particular picture becomes the most famous work of an artist, they can still see it as their greatest failure. From the way this comic has gone, it could be said that the thing Dei focuses on the most is emotion and bonds, therefore it could be that he actually sees the Pyramid Volcano V.S. Hourai Master/Servant Combination as his best, or maybe he doesn't.
What I'm saying is, just because we see it as the best fight doesn't mean that he's been trying and failing to surpass it.
The second thing is that you have to take into consideration the personalities of the people on the teams. In the case of Heavenly Sky Combo and Lotus Star White Tiger, both sides main motivation was simply to get in the ring and fight, on one side it was to have fun and participate and on the other it was to make a good impression on people. But consider the other fights, Eternal Rivals was a really poor team up as Kaguya and Mokou hate each other so obviously them not doing well would be something that would happen in their match and would have to be worked into the fight. But then there comes the problem that no matter what match Dei has tried to make it so no team just completely thrashes the other with no quarter, so there comes a real problem.
I'm not saying the Higan Judgment V.S. Eternal Rivals had a good end, it's the only one I dislike out of the entire comic actually, but you must understand the complexities of writing this story and these matches.

Actually, it would be sort of interesting for one team to just thrash another. It would be disappointing in the short run but would build tension for their next match. Sort of leave a "I feel sorry for the next team to fight these guys." Either Yuuka or Higan Judgment could have been good for this but they've been knocked out already. Its kind of a wasted opportunity by this point.

Problem with that is, who would you have chosen to sacrifice to such a fate? The only ones I can think of are the Autumn Sisters.

Marisa and Nitori would have worked prior to the hakkero thing. The Autumn sisters. The two immortals would have worked since they don't have much going for them besides the immortality and Kaguya's nerdiness. Or for that matter either of the Mokou/Keine or Kaguya/Eirin teams. Sakuya and Koa would have worked prior to switching out Koa for Suika. Even Suwako and Sanae could have worked since they needed a cheap win to even beat Yuuka.
Thinking about it a little, curbstomping is kind of what happened to the Reisen/Youmu team as soon as Reimu/Remilia got the least bit serious and cooperative. So there was no shortage of teams that could have taken the fall. The author just needs to give up on making every fight sort of equal no matter how much asspulling is required.

Really? I sure hope you didn't actually include Tenshi/Okuu vs Byakuren/Shou in that. They really fought fair & square, and CLEAN without any strings pulled.
Higan Judgment vs Script Writer = worst. That's all, everything else is still excusable imho.
