*raises hand in agreement* I don't think there was a guideline that stated they would be related in some way or even redrawn to be in the same style when the winning chara was chosen.
The artist for Lui said he was shota(pretty boy) style, but as you can see he is quite masculine in appearance (imo), his official design... far from it. When it comes to Ring... where are the rings!? She has like one arm bangle, so I guess that is meant to count?
Seriously, I wonder why a contest was even created if the characters were going to be done by a different artist who pretty much made the official designs original by their style alone.
