Seeing how MSLN has made almost every single gundam reference just short of using newtypes (not to mention all the references to other mecha shows), I wouldn't be suprised.

I actually always thought the whole cartrigde system was kinda akin to being a newtype. And Nanoha and Fate had to turn into Newtypes themselves to go on equal footing. But thats probably me reading too much into it.
