You could technically keep like a small knife or phial with a thigh strap, but this, no matter how I look I just can't think of any purpose that it would serve., practical or otherwise.

In theory you can knit those plates directly to the fabric they cover.
But they definitely can't have any purpose beyond aesthetic ones

Those are more like decorative buttons IMO.

Probably made by a rich dude whose oshi is a dragon of some color with eyes that aren't blue.

I basically imagine them to be knitted to the clothing the same way buttons would be, so it's a good way to put it
